The Museum is on Route 25A on the North Shore of Long Island, in Suffolk County's Cold Spring Harbor, which was a whaling port in the 19th Century.

Museum Winter Hours:
Open Tuesday - Sunday, 11-5 Open Holiday Mondays, including School Breaks The museum is also open Mondays for group bookings and our Monday Minnows program for preschoolers and parents. Museum Summer Hours: Open Daily 11-5, Memorial Day-Labor Day Office Hours: Museum office (located at 279 Main Street in the historic Wright House, next to the Museum) is open Monday-Friday, 9-5. On Weekends, you can reach the front desk at ext. 14. Holiday Closings: New Year's, Memorial Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. | Admission

FROM NYC/NASSAU
Take the LIE to exit 41N (Rt 106). Continue 4 miles north until 25A. Turn right and head east 5.3 miles into the town of Cold Spring Harbor. After passing through the village, the museum will be on your left.
OR
Take the Northern State Pkwy to Exit 35N (Rt 106). Continue 4 miles north until 25A. Turn right and head east 5.3 miles into the town of Cold Spring Harbor. After passing through the village, the museum will be on your left.
FROM SOUTH SHORE
Take the Southern State to Route 135, the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway North, to exit 14E, the Jericho Turnpike (Rt 25). Continue east on Rt 25 for one mile. Turn left on Woodbury Rd. Follow signs to Cold Spring Harbor until making a left on Rt 108. Rt 108 ends at red flashing light; merge with 25A and turn right. Continue for 1 mile; after the village, museum will be on left.
FROM EASTERN LONG ISLAND
Take the LIE to exit 49N (Rt 110N, which will become New York Avenue). Continue North for about 6.5 miles. Make a left on Rt 25A and continue for 1.5 miles; museum will be on right.
FROM L.I.R.R.
Driving is the best option, but buses from the LIRR are available.
Take the LIRR to the Huntington Station. Then take the Suffolk County Transit Bus #S1 North , and transfer to HART Bus #6 at the corner of Route 110 and Rt 25A. Take to Cold Spring Harbor. (Ask for a transfer when boarding first bus).

FROM NYC/NASSAU
Take the LIE to exit 41N (Rt 106). Continue 4 miles north until 25A. Turn right and head east 5.3 miles into the town of Cold Spring Harbor. After passing through the village, the museum will be on your left.
