• Bring your sea glass finds for our Sea Glass of the Year Contest and expert identifications with Mary McCarthy!

• Discover the history of sea glass in George Wm Fisher's presentation Origins of Sea Glass: Beverage and Medicine Bottles

 

• See & Shop current glass art from local glass artists and vendors

• Kids enjoy a glass-themed scavenger hunt & crafts included with admission

• Listen to sea shanties performed by The Royal Yard

• View the museum's exhibitions about Long Island history

• Grab a bite from The Big Black Food Truck

Sea Glass of the Year Contest

Guidelines:

• Entry cards may be purchased at the event from 10-2:45pm 
• 3 Entries per $5 Entry Card
• Must indicate the body of water where the piece was found
• Each entry must be authentic and unaltered (Jewelry and crafts are not permissible)
• Contest closes @ 3pm
• Announcement of winners will take place during the event @ 4pm

Criteria:

• Overall Beauty (Best in Show)
• Most Unusual/Whimsical
• Most Historic
