Summer Field Trips for Camps

Give your campers a fun blast to the past!

We'll open our doors early and exclusively for you, so your campers can explore at their own pace in a safe, immersive environment. Enjoy the gallery to yourself in an exploration of Long Island’s legendary maritime past. 

What your campers will do:

• Private Access: Enjoy the entire museum all to yourselves for a full hour before we open to the public at 11am in our easy-to-navigate space -- no maps, no crowds, no getting lost!  
• Exhibits: Campers will visit our Monsters & Mermaids exhibit, see our historic whaleboat, smell whale breath, and climb into a sailor's bunkbed, among our other activities
• Scavenger Hunt: Each camper will have a themed scavenger hunt. 
• Crafts: Campers will enjoy marine-themed, self-guided crafts to take home in our workshop. 

Booking Details

​Summer Camp Group Visits are Available: Tuesday – Thursday | June 30 – August 14, 2026
Time: 10am – 11:30 am (Prime morning slot!)

Admission Rates for Camp Booking: 

• ​$200 flat fee for up to 20 campers + 2 adults |  1½ hours  
• $10 per additional child | $8 per additional adult (Regular museum admission for adults)
• $100 Booking Deposit | This deposit is non refundable. 
• We can accommodate up to 50 campers per day
