Before the year sails off into the sunset, we hope you will toss a coin (or a few!) our way to keep the museum’s community programs afloat. A year-end gift truly does wonders for The Whaling Museum!
Many people assume our museum’s exhibits and events are mostly funded by the government or grants. Others assume admission is what keeps us afloat (it covers just 6% of what it takes to keep the doors open!). The majority of our support comes from community members - people like you - who decide to be donors to help keep Long Island’s history alive ... and fun! We’re here because of you. Thank you!

This place is great. Such a treasure in a cute town. So educational, my kids had no idea of the whaling history in the area and the importance of conservation." Matt K. |
