Craft Beer | Sea Chanteys | Pickles | Tavern Tales

We had a gorgeous day and welcomed over 200 people to our Whales, Ales, and BRINY Tales event on Saturday, June 1st, from 2-5pm! Thank you to everyone who attended and made the day special. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our wonderful vendors and sponsors for their incredible support.

This adults-only event provided barrels of fun and mouth-watering thrills throughout the afternoon. Attendees indulged in a variety of local craft brews and savored delicious samples from Horman's Best Pickles. Our museum team delivered engaging talks on the fascinating history of pickles and their preservation on whaling ships, providing unique insights into maritime traditions. The lively atmosphere was further enhanced by live sea chanteys performed by Stu Markus, aka Scuttlebutt Stu, adding a melodic touch to the event. Attendees also got creative with watercolor art-making facilitated by One River Art School, bringing out their inner artists.

From the engaging activities to the delectable treats, Whales, Ales, and BRINY Tales offered an unforgettable experience for adults 21 and over. Thank you again to everyone who joined us and to those who contributed to making this event a memorable success!
