"A lovely destination for young and old alike. Small but quite perfectly formed!  The museum is chock full of interesting exhibits offering more than you can imagine from a small place. It opens up the world of whaling on so many levels. My son and I enjoyed it individually and together."  Leslie H. Jones

Picture
We stopped in while visiting family in the area. What a great little museum on whaling on Long Island. The scrimshaw pieces they have are fantastic, they even have an example of scrimshaw on baleen. The kids had a great time and they usually have fun activities for kids going on too. The staff are great. It's worth the stop for an hour or so."
