Is it okay to come to celebrate Aleia's party, but not stay the night?
Of course. Parents, you are the one to decide if your child is ready for an overnight. Just let us know your decision. It may be a good idea to head home either before or after the movie.
Where do kids sleep?
Right in the galleries! That's the fun part. A museum staff member (in addition to chaperones) will be present throughout the night.
What should guests bring?
· An indoor sleeping bag (mats to put under a sleeping bag are ok). Only adults can bring air mattresses; twin-sized are easiest (we are a small museum).
· Pillow
· Pajamas
· Change of clothes for the morning
· Personal toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, and hairbrush
· Flashlights are optional, but helpful
Clothes… Wear comfortable, art-friendly clothes to the museum, since we will be working with paint and glues. Dress in layers; temperatures that some people find warm are cool to others (and vice versa).
What should we leave at home?
Cots, hair dryers, curling irons, loud alarm clocks (we’ll take care of that!), nail polish, electronic toys, or unnecessary money. Bringing snacks from home is fine, but try to refrain from bringing foods that contain peanuts.
What is the parking like?
There is normally plenty of unmetered street parking located right in front of the museum (we're located in a residential neighborhood). Always be careful crossing Route 25A! Directions to the museum can be found here.
